Descripción Trade Paper. Condición: Fine. First Edition. 1st printing of the first Canadian edition of the author's first book. LAID IN: PUBLISHER'S REVIEW MATERIALS and unused FLYBOY DECAL. A trade paper original in card covers. A finalist for the Books in Canada First Novel Award. A square, tight and unread copy with minor wear at the heel of the spine. The press release is written by the author in the form of a letter. In the letter he writes about the novel, his career as a publisher of small press publications and zines, the fact that his manuscript was plucked from the slush pile by an editor at HarperCollins and his plans to tour the book accompanied by an indie-pop band. Apparently, Munroe's previous experience as a self-publisher meant that he was uncomfortable in the yoke of a big publishing house and his relationship with HarperCollins soured quickly. Since writing this book he has returned to the small press world and publishes his books under the imprint No Media Kings.
