This new book from the experts at the Vegetarian Society is divided into two sections – the first shows you how to plan a healthy menu and diet, with lots of tips to help you achieve it. Each of the recipes has a nutritional breakdown showing you, at a glance, the amount of calories, fat, carbohydrates, etc., that each contains. A reassuring chapter on nutrition and a useful glossary explaining some of the new and exciting ingredients that are becoming increasingly available, are included.

The second section provides inspirational ideas for those who love to entertain with good food and wine but who need practical advice on putting together a delicious vegetarian menu. From informal suppers with friends, al fresco barbecues and picnics and Christmas entertaining to complete dinner parties, the recipes reflect today’s exciting approach to cooking.

Throughout the book, many of the recipes are vegan, or are adaptable for a vegan diet.

Lyn Weller is Manager of The Vegetarian Society’s world-renowned Cordon Vert Cookery School. She has years of experience with vegetarian cuisine, having previously run her own vegetarian catering business and tutored at the cookery school.
