Nous arrivâmes a telegraph-creek le 22 octobre, après un voyage ininterrompu d'au moins 350 milles. Le temps était beau pour la saison. Il plut légèrement pen dant plusieurs jours et nous eûmes deux chutes de neige d'environ 5 pouces chacune, mais de gros vents chinook les eurent bientôt fait disparaître. La nuit la tempe rature baissait presque invariablement au.dessous du (point de congélation, mais en aucun temps nous n'avons observé plus de 22 degrés c gelée.
