Dr. Jesse Middendorf currently serves as executive director for the Center for Pastoral Leadership at Nazarene Theological Seminary. He served for twenty-eight years as pastor in the Church of the Nazarene, ten of those years at Kansas City First Church. He served as district superintendent on the Northwest Oklahoma district for five years and spent twelve as a general superintendent, retiring in 2013. Jeren Rowell serves as district superintendent of the Kansas City District Church of the Nazarene and has pastored more than 25 years. Dr. Rowell has served as editor of Preacher's Magazine and contributed to numerous books. Brooklyn is the Global NYI Justice Advocate and founder of The Justice Movement. She builds bridges that empower churches and youth to do compassionate work together. Her priority is to inspire and resource youth to break cycles of poverty through faith in action. Brooklyn has served in full time youth ministry for the last 17 years, authored numerous books, contributes and communicates for Orange Leaders, and speaks at camps and conferences. She and her husband Coy planted @somoschurch in July 2016.www.brooklynlindsey.com www.justicemovement.com Carla D. Sunberg is president of Nazarene Theoogical Seminary. She earned her PhD in historical theology from the University of Manchester and, along with her husband, served thirteen years as a missionary in the former Soviet Union. Carla is coauthor of Reclaiming Eve: The Identity and Calling of Women in the Kingdom of God. Brett Rickey is the senior pastor at Highland Park Church of the Nazarene, where he blends his experiences from eleven years in corporate life with his nine years as the founding pastor of FamilyChurch.tv. Brett also serves as a coach and mentor to new church pastors across the country and hosts Accelerate--a yearly church planting conference. He has an MA in practical theology. He and his wife, Mindy, live in Lakeland, Florida, with their three daughters: Jessica, Kelsey, and Hope. Mark Fuller serves as senior pastor of Grove City Church of the Nazarene, the larges Nazarene church in North America. Previously he has led growing churches in Arizona and Texas. He received his BA from MidAmerica Nazarene University, his MDiv from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and recently received an honorary doctorate degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He resides in Ohio with his wife and their twin daughters. Shawna Songer Gaines, MDiv, serves as the university chaplain at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee. She has served as a co-pastor of Bakersfield Church of the Nazarene in Bakersfield, CA, as a youth pastor in Chicago, and as a communications consultant for Nazarene Missions International. She authored two other studies in the Breathe series, Created and Wilderness, and co-authored two books, A Seat at the Table and Kings and Presidents, with her husband, Tim. Shawna speaks and preaches at churches, conferences, camps, and retreats across the country, and blogs at shawnasongergaines.com. Timothy (M.Div., Nazarene Theological Seminary) is a doctoral fellow at the Stead Center for Ethics and Values at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and teaches theology and ethics. His Ph.D. dissertation focuses on Trinitarian theology and Christian ethics.
