The undersigned, Members of the Bar of the City of New York, believing that the organized action and influence of the Legal. Profession, properly exerted, would lead to the creation of more intimate relations between its members than now exist, and would, at the same time, sustain the profession in its proper position in the community, and thereby enable it, in many ways, to promote the interests of the public, do hereby mutually agree to unite in forming an Association for such purposes: And we do hereby appoint Messrs.
