Valerie Wilding was a teacher for twenty years and now manages a school library. She has had over twenty books published, including a Green Banana: Diggers and Dumpers. She lives in Alton, Hampshire. Michael Broad worked as a senior illustrator/graphic designer for a film distribution company but he is now concentrating solely on writing and illustrating books for children. He is also studying Psychotherapy at Westminster University. Michael's first picture book, Broken Bird, was published by Puffin in 2005. He lives in London.
