A collection of 52 Brothers Grimm stories with accompanying illustrations printed posthumously and illustrated by Walter Crane. The brothers, Jacob Ludwig Karl (1785-1863) and Wilhelm Carl Grimm (1786-1869), were German authors and folktale and legend collectors. Their stories remain favorites today among children and adults. Included in this volume are the well-known Rapunzel, Hansel and Grethel, Tom Thumb, Snow-White, and Rumpelstiltskin. Walter Crane (1845-1915) was a prolific British artist and book illustrator who exerted a strong influence on late 19th and early 20th century children's books.
