After training at Cranwell, Gibbs then details his wartime flying exploits off Norway, France, and up and down the English Channel, bombing and torpedoing enemy shipping and attacking U-boat lairs. Book is a war-time economy production - published mid-war - and has 3" crumple to top of rear jacket. 2" x 1/2" torn from half-title page (previous owner's name?). An eminently forceful and convincing narrative. VERY GOOD book in GOOD unclipped dust jacket.
